symidi

symidi is a macOS command line tool for sending and receiving MIDI. It's helpful if you're debugging an application or MIDI device, and for testing out MIDI messages.

You should run it from the Terminal, and can be placed anywhere; I like to have a ~/bin directory for this kind of thing.

(For security, files are usually downloaded with -x disabled. You will probably have to a) chmod +x it, and b) right-click-open it from Finder the first time to allow the tool to run. Source code available by request.)
